September Changes

The girls have been wanting to go on a walk and are wondering why it has been so long. In reality, it has only been like 9 days or so, but in childhood, that equals forever. With Josh working all weekend, the days have become quite long and lonesome at times. I couldn't wait to get back to our nightly walks to be honest so today, I decided it would be time.

I put Noelliah in the sling as she is sure to sleep there. We started the familiar route albeit a little slower than usual. As we walked, I couldn't help but notice all of the changes in the 9 short days it had been since we last walked. Trees are beginning to change, leaves are now dotting the ground, the locust hum has silenced and turned into the pleasant cricket sound, the air is different, and it was even quieter than usual.

Not only have things changed outside, but in our family as well. The last time we walked, I was wondering when Noelliah would join our family. I think it was a bit hotter and more dry. Now, we walk along the 4 of us girls. Well, Noelliah rides the rest of us walk. Last Sunday, we had just gotten out of the hospital. Now, we have been home for one week as a family of five. We finished the walk at a shorter point than usual only because I am sure I shouldn't have been vacuuming today. It was nice to go again and breathe the fresh air. Oh yeah, something else that has changed...it is getting dark so much earlier now and I am not a fan of that!

Bring on the changes! I love this time of year going forward and after the scorching heat and intollerable humidity of this summer, I greatly look forward to this Autumn. And I know that you do not like it getting dark earlier but I am literally excited to see that sun dip below the horizon earlier and earlier with each passing day!
