I don't want June to be over yet =(. Reason...once June is over Summer just flies by leaving us in her dust.
We had a busy June, but managed to squeeze in some fun here and there. We were determined to wrap up several things so that we could just put ideas of projects aside and concentrate on having fun as a fmily.
We did wrap up several things...namely the kitchen! It is so enjoyable and spacious! We love it. We are constantly finding and adding things here and there, but Josh officially finished it the other day...YAY! The garage sale came and went and was a big success, though a TON of work. There was our anniversary, grad parties, Father's Day, VBS, and swim lessons.
I got Aliyah signed up for a different version of homeschooling this year. It is "Streaming". It is like she is sitting in a 4th grade classroom. I think it will be good for her and for us. She is to that age in school where a lot more instruction is beginning to be required particularly in math. Josh and I do not have the time to do it when we get off work between having a little one and a kindergartener and other stuff. I can't believe she is going into 4th grade. With her, she is so tiny and no one ever thinks she is the age she is so it is like she doesn't grow up as fast. Keirah seems right at her age. Noe she seems to grow faster than we can keep up. She's on some fast development curve and has been ever since we first saw her in the womb. I so clearly remember that ultrasound at 10 weeks. They pointed out the little legs just going...sure enough even at that young, she was going and hasn't stopped. Of course, thoughts of birthday plans enter my head as we cap off summer with 4 birthdays in our family...what to do, what to do...
We try to walk daily unless it is raining. It's a great way to clear my head and let the girls just gab and talk and ask a million questions. It's also one of the ways we just "drink in" summer. I love how light it stays so long. There's so many things that can be squeezed in with that extra light. Mowing, swinging, bike rides, walks, flowers, and just plain fun.
We are looking forward to what is becoming our annual 4th of July weekend trip to Chicago! Nothing this family loves more than being together AND being at the beach together. I am hoping for warmer water this time! Warm up Lake Michigan...we are ready to enjoy those waves!
Well, on with the evening. We have a walk to take, flowers to water, stuff to pack, laundry to put away, and my sinus pressure is taking a toll on me...
