Summer, Swimming, Sun

July is coming close to a finish. We have enjoyed summer in so many ways. Swimming, swimming lessons, family, beach time, shopping, Chicago, etc...

The other day after swim lessons, Aliyah informed us that there was a bully in her class. I know a couple of things....Aliyah tells the truth and she isn't aggressive to have done anything to anyone either. A boy in her class was being mean to her. He said she was a rotten kid, that she wasn't pretty, and then she told us he kept grabbing her swimsuit and pulling it, and spitting at her. Once we got to the part about messing with her swimming suit and the spitting, I had had enough. It's one thing to say mean things (which in no way makes it less mean), but when you are touching/spitting someone that added a whole different dimension to it. Aliyah & Josh went to the director and told her what happened and she is now in a different class.

We talked about it and she knows that the things the boy said are not true....thankfully. She is sweet and such a good helper to us. Not perfect, but a sweet kid. It makes me sad that kids are so mean to others. In our house, we talk about being loving and not making fun of people or saying mean things about anyone. I wish others would remind their children of the same.

We are in birthday party planning mode as there are MANY birthdays coming our way in the next few weeks! It is certainly fun! The hardest to buy for is definitely Josh. So far, I only have 1 thing for him and I need more ideas.

Noe is a busy girl x 1000. She has been walking for a few weeks now and can already walk and drink a bottle at the same time. She is most handy at anything and extremely strong! I ask again...where does the time go? I digress.

Keirah is her typical diva self. She loves swim lessons and walks in most of the time with her sunglasses on, towel in hand and ready to go. The child has an eye for fashion and she's quite particular about it. When daddy picks out clothes, he has to get each thing "passed" by Keirah or she just tells him what she wants to wear for the day. Today, for instance, she told him of a certain pink shirt and then told him that she wears a brown skirt with little flowers on it. Josh of course didn't know what she was referring to as she hasn't worn it in awhile. He finally found it and sure enough...that is what it looked like...lol.
She LOVES organizational activities. It is totally her thing.
