I received this lovely "Ray of Sunshine" blog award from Julie at ourlives-unscripted dot blogspot dot com. Thanks so much! I need any rays of sunshine I can get these days.
It was wonderful to wake up to sunshine yesterday and touches of it here and there today as well. What I realized was that I'm so behind on my sunshine intake, I need many more hours of it than there is light in a day right now.
The Superbowl is on and I do understand more than I ever have in any other year. My one comment is...football is quite repetitive... at least the first few minutes were. What I'm looking forward to is the Winter Olympics which are starting this coming week. I love the Olympics. While I am more of a Summer Olympic fan, I can appreciate them in winter as well. After all, they help transition us from February to March which gets me closer to warmth and days with longer light. I'm anticipating going on walks again once the weather is more normal.
We are on the home stretch of school for Aliyah this year with about one month left! They are learning loads of new things in math. We are working on learning multiplication tables.
Aliyah was happy today to take her $$ that she earned for Carlos. This week was $17.05. Every coin she found went to Carlos as well. Yesterday, I told her that if she wanted that she could try to earn some more for him. She excitedly said "yes". I told her to clean her room, but that I wasn't telling her anything in specific. If she did a great job, she would earn money. She ran off and pretty soon Keirah came up and told me that the room was ready. I was pleasantly suprised to see both beds made and everything put away and looking great--$$ earned!
Well, the Colts are winning the Superbowl and I'm not overly surprised. Speaking of SB, why the outrage over the Tebow commercial?? What was there to be outraged over?? I think the NOW made themselves look ridiculous. If they are "pro-choice", then what is their problem. Tebow's mom making her "choice". I think the truth is they are "pro-abortion" all the way. Uh-huh, there is so much to be outraged about the message "Celebrate Life, celebrate family". What a "horrible" message (said in the most sarcastic tone). Society needs more Tebow's and role models like them.

Totally agree about the Tebow commercial and they were probably mad about the "focas on the family" promo that was on there too.
Way to go Saints :}
My fav winter olympics sport is curling. I find it fascinating :}
