Independence Day!

Happy 4th of July!! It was a beautiful day. We had plans of going swimming, but it was a cooler 4th--very pleasant actually. Daddy worked today so us girls spent the day just kind of chillin. We ate Monical's pizza for supper and it was yummy to all of us!
We said hi to some neighbors and Aliyah got to hold her first giant sparkler. She held it for like 3 seconds and then ducked into the tent to watch from there.
The fireworks were great this year! Both of the girls loved them. For the first time ever, Aliyah didn't hold her ears and actually giggled with glee and delight with them all. We got in and out of the crowds with ease and home pretty quickly since we've learned the right routes to take. We stayed outside for a bit and watched fireworks around the neighborhood. We even took a little walk. Aliyah felt chilly so she went inside and put on her Hanna snowman pj's--it's July mind you! She rode her bike through the neighborhood watching for fireworks.
And with that, it's bedtime--daddy works this weekend so it will be the 3 of us girls enjoying the time together.
