Sunshine!

Yesterday, after we picked Aliyah up from VBS we headed to lunch. She didn't even want to eat because she couldn't wait to go to Splashdown. Splashdown is a waterpark that our family really enjoys. It was perfect weather by our definition. It was just warm enough and full of sunshine. There were even a few of those beautiful, big, billowy clouds.

Aliyah spent her time in the water--of course. She met a little girl named Lexie. They played around for quite awhile. Keirah was content to sit with us and soak up some sun. When we moved to the regular swimming pool, Keirah had TONS of fun. She repeatedly gets up and just jumps in the water. After about 50 times of doing this, she wanted me to "float" her around.

After 4 hours, we decided we had things to do at home. Aliyah still hadn't had enough, but we had. She has the good fortune of someone with skin that can just be in the sun all of the time with no sunblock or anything and get darker and darker. The rest of us get red the first time or two. We decided that Aliyah's nickname would be "Cocoa" based on her color.

We have been slowly but surely working through our painting projects. We started the LR tonight. I simply can't wait to be done. In the middle of it, I decided that we needed to just go outside and enjoy the beautiful evening by taking a walk. Another one of those "perfect weather days". We couldn't help but notice the sweet scent that is permeating the air. I'm not always sure what it is, but it is beautiful.
