Today, Aliyah got to attend one of the events of summer at Grace Presbyterian--Summer Celebration '08. She finished Kindergarten so she is in the 1st grade class this year. She kept asking my why she was in the 1 year old room. I told her that it is called first grade. Hopefully we have that one down. She is hoping for sunshine tomorrow so that the kids can play on the fun inflatable toys outside.
It was an extremely busy day at work--thanks to the heat in the US! The day did go by quickly, although I must say I feel like I spent most of it on the phone and answering emails and such.
We enjoyed dinner at Chili's and as we were sitting there, Josh said "look who it is". I had no idea who it was, but looked out the window and saw Jamie. The reason why that was exciting is because Jamie now lives in Thailand. She has lived there almost 3 years now--hard to believe. The last time I saw her in person was when she was on my cheerleading squad. We won 1st that year =). Also, she is modeling in Thailand. She was in a commercial and has done many other things--unbelievable!! It was cool to see her.
After dinner, we decided to dive in to some home projects. We have several painting projects waiting to be done. Tonight, we completed the toy room. YAY!! The color is called "watering hole". Next, is the living room. We have to do both the ceiling and the walls in there. Since we are getting new furniture, it is in our best interests to get this one finished before the furniture arrives--we'll possibly start that one tomorrow.
Well, we have many things to do this evening and then off to bed. Thanks for reading!
