Positively Thankful

Sometimes I think we get "under" the weight of all of the negativity that we see around us. Whether it be the news or day to day life, it weighs on us. So many times I think of all of life's blessings but rarely share. In light of that, I am going to list some positives that I am thankful for.

  • the economy may be belly up, but I am privileged to live where we are the richest nation in the world--we don't lack for anything
  • gasoline may be expensive, but hey I can rejoice that it is $1.06 cheaper today than it was 3 or 4 weeks ago--at least we don't have shortages here either.
  • my children may be underfoot at times and quite loud, however I am so blessed to have sweet loving little girls and one day I will wish they were underfoot again.
  • my husband has to work many hours and the days get long, however I am happy he works hard for us, has a job, and God provides for our needs.
  • homeschooling can sometimes make we wish for downtime, but at least I know my daughter is getting educated without the many negative influences that children face and she's doing well.
  • the election and media are getting quite annoying these days, however I know that whatever happens whether good or bad, God knows already and will take care of it.
  • I don't get to talk or email with my friends as often as I would like, but I am blessed to know and have spent the time that I have with each and every one of them. I think of my friends all of the time!
  • Winter will soon be here, but I can enjoy every warm day with everything I can---like today--it's pusing 80 =).
  • There may be lots of work to do around the house, but I'm thankful I am healthy and can go do it!

Think of ways you are positively thankful and experience how great life really is!!

Great post! I always tell my kids that a positive attitude makes everything easier. Sometimes I forget to tell myself, so thanks!
