Yes, it is 1:55 AM! I couldn't sleep. My mind is a whir of excitement or something. You'd think I would have no trouble going to sleep, but I did. You know how it was when you were a kid and something fun was going to happen the next day and you just barely slept?? Yes, that's what it is--I'm all excited. It's like I had a big glass of coffee before bed and I'm ready to go...except no, I didn't.
We are going to Six Flags tomorrow which I'm so excited for. The memories of it are flooding back...smells of fried turkey legs, sounds of screaming, thoughts of those pictures they take when you walk in, seeing the park from the road, hoping not to have to wait too long in line. I feel like a junior higher again. We went on my 8th grade class trip. I remember riding the Ninja a bajillion times. See, the wilder the ride the better for me. Now, I look at the Ninja and think "how boring". I am ready to ride "Evel Knevel" (sp). I went several other times in HS and in college. The last time was at our 1 yr. anniversary...wow life has changed so much since then.
I think I'm also hyped because the Olympics have started and I DVR'd the opening ceremonies. I have watched some of them, but fast forwarded through most. It's that familiar music and the familiar voice of Bob Costas. How does that guy do it...it's like he's stuck in a time warp. No matter if I was 12 or 30, he still looks and sounds exactly the same.
Tonight--or last night actually, we went to eat and shopping. We took my brother. It's so hard to believe he's a senior now! We talked about the upcoming school year and reminisced about times gone by. The evening ended with getting Josh's birthday gift which I will post a pic of later. I gave him a color choice of red or blue. He chose blue. Any guesses what it is?? He's super-excited about it.
Well, it's 2:04 am and I'm still buzzing on nothing. I don't feel like going to bed. Aliyah just got up and went upstairs to be in our bed. She somehow got a summertime cold and I have no idea how. She's not feeling well--poor girl. We're hoping she feels better for her birthday trip.

Birthday girl's gift is coming to your house - it is suppose to be gift wrapped - let me know if it isn't!
Sorry to hear Aliyah has a cold - it is aweful to have a summer cold.
Hope you have a great time today!!!
The house is consistently changing. I usually have to go outside to see the progress each and every day.
I am beginning to feel that this project is never going to get done! It seems to be creeping along!
